My boyfriend from the US is finally going to visit me and meet me for the first time! :p We've been going steady for three months now and he was finally able to secure a 10-day vacation from work just yesterday. Hurray! :D
I'm just so excited to finally see him in person. :p But I'm kinda in a pinch as to where I will take him during his stay because he will be coming by the end of May and that's already the rainy season here in the Philippines. I don't know what places to visit during the rainy season. All I know are places that are best to visit during summer. :p
Any suggestions? :)

Hi secretbear! so you're fever pitch! Who wouldn't be right? Our country has rich historical heritage. I suggest that you bring him to famous historical sites in Laguna such as Rizal shrine and Japanese garden but I doubt if you will be allowed to take pictures inside Rizal Shrine.Few years back, before I met my husband, I also had a boyfriend from the other side of the world (lols),I brought him to Intramuros during his first visit. He listened intently to the tour guide and he enjoyed the Calesa ride.
Prepare a lot of indoor activities that he and your family can do together because like what you have mentioned above, May is the start of rainy season.Invite your kin over to your house so they can mingle with your boyfriend in that case you will also get to know him well. I hope you have lots of fun.

So you have never actually met him in person? Have you swapped photos? So you know what he looks like and vice versa, wow I bet you are a mixture of excited and nervous? I guess it would depend on the things he likes to do, whether he is an indoor person or outdoor, whether he likes the cinema, shopping, eating out, going to places of interest, attractions etc, not sure what the Philippines has to offer, but I am sure whatever you do will be fun, spending some quality time together, I hope it all goes well for you!

We've swapped photos and video chatted through skype. :) He likes watching movies; he likes martial arts movies like me. :p But I don't want to just watch movies within that ten days. :D The good thing is, he said anywhere is okay as long as we're together. :')

That's exciting! Are there any nice hikes or walks nearby? Those can be nice even in wet weather 9although I don't know how wet your rainy season is).

Hihihi... He said so that anywhere is fine as long as we are together. :p But he requested to go to a beach which is my problem because it will be the rainy season when he arrives.

Awww... Thank you! :') I do want to take him to the places I've been to. But my problem is the money. It's limited. :p So I want to take him to places that's near and does not require too much money. :) Thank you for the suggestion. :)

That is great that your boyfriend from the US is going to meet you. I'm sure that you are really excited about this. Perhaps you could just plan things to do that are at indoor places. Get movies and music that you think he would enjoy. I'm sure you will be able to come up with somethings.

Don't worry friend, I don't think that he is coming to see your country, might be coming to meet you, to see you, but yes in ten days, anybody will want to spend some time in tidy form, so for that you can take him to a boat, or some really good sanctuary, or even a road trip of some rivery area would be fine....
i guess he might also have some plans for you, so wait for his turn also.

this reminds me of an officemate. her bf from overseas came and she stuffed so many things in just 3 days i think he was constantly nodding off to sleep. 10 days is great but he'll be coming from a different timezone (and climate) so the adjustment might be even longer. since you're in laguna, you can take him to many places around luzon.

Wow. That is great, finally we will see each other for the first time. If you are from the Philippines then don't forget to bring him to the Boracay, it is summer so most tourist go there to swim and refresh theirselves. Hope you will enjoy your vacation with your boyfriend

I am glad for you that your oversease boyfriend is coming to pay you a visit very soon. It is exciting though after three months' knowing each other online. The Philippines is a lovely and beautiful country. I am sure that you will find some place to take him for a visit by then. Good luck and be happy, secretbear.

Maybe May is not yet at its peak of the rainy season so you can still take him to Boracay or Baguio.
Wish you a great time in advance.

it is not yet that rainy at the end of May. It depends as to where is your location. We have a lot of beaches, Batangas, Boracay, Palwan, Siargao. Baguio is a nice place as well as Sagada and Banaue. If in Manila, there are malls everywhere, Rizal Park, Manila Bay. good luck
