i am watching right about local national heroes. It is not just about the heroic things they have done, but it talked about their lifestyles. what were their foods during that time and what influenced their eating habits and theirother lifestyles. So i get to know that even during that time, the filipinos, the rich ones, would have this french food . It is what considered the restaurant kind of food And I wonder why the local foods not that considered as the food of the rich. so any way, it is just like uup to now that foreign foods are more considered better and delicious

Well i am glad to hear that u are showing interest to know about the lifestyle of the local national heroes as it would be interesting to know how they spent each of their days. their times would be different then that it is today, it is the human tendency to consider foreign foods as the food of the rich.

maybe because back in the day, even up to now, only the more priviledged could afford imported food. i think they are not after the taste at all, but after the affluence and reputation it brings. of course, if yiu wanted to show off to your friendsbthat you are rich, you would want them to see that you serve expensive food, right?

Hi Hotsummer! :) I think it's because of their different taste. We're used to our own taste so foreign dishes gives up another perspective in food so considered as better and delicious. But nothing beats good cooking: the balance of all spices and flavorings, plus well-cooked meat and presentation. Thanks for the discussion :)
