Technology will be the energy that drives our lives. It runs in the veins of society. Technologies is related with innovation and creativity. It transforms suggestions and thoughts into reality and into something that's helpful to society and human life. It has bought luxury and benefits to an average person's life.
NOW, THESE ARE GOOD EFFECTS OF TECHNOLOGY, BUT SOMETIMES THE SIDE EFFECTS CAN BE MORE DANGEROUS, OTHER THAN ITS BENEFITS.

Hi,
When the cave man learned to use fire technology was born. It was a totally different world to have something to light up the dark and warm up the cold nights. It was the start of the growth of settled culture, the hunters and gatherers have now in their disposal the unique way to live with this novel discovery. As it was, whenever new ways are discovered, a corresponding rise in the quality of life is evident, but then as you say, it brings with it danger and destruction if not used wisely. With the advent of fire, more lives have been lost since the first bushfire to high rise buildings.

I think that it was our ability to combine things, creating stuff and making plans what enabled us to use the stuff around us as tools. Of course fire was one of them but it also was the most destructive ''tool''. Unfortunately many of us still haven't learned that fire, in its most basic form, the flame - is - besides its destructiveness - the most wasteful and ''primitive'' way to use energy. I think there's always an alternative and it's the search for such alternatives that makes our intellect thrive

Yes u are right, technology has both pros n cons and hence we need to recognize the positive aspects of it. if we use technology to our benefits then it can never harm us and our habits but if we misuse it then we are surely going to get affected due to it. So we have to be watchful of how we utilize technology.

Technology and human life cannot be separated;society has a cyclical co-dependence on technology. We use technology;depends on technology in our daily life and our needs and demand for technology keep on rising.
It is impossible to explore how much each new advanced technology has impacted our lives and how it will impact the future.
The way we use technology determines if its impacts are positive to the society or negative.

It's all about moderation - something lacking in our modern life today.
Today, people want everything and they need it fast. Sometimes, there is no compromise on how to get it but just getting it. And sometimes, it doesn't even have a good reason for just having that technology. Although technology does benefit life, it can also do its fair share of harm. after all, technology is juts a tool to be wielded by humans.

hmm. This is somewhat strange. This morning when I woke up I thought about pretty much the same topic and then the Terminator movies came to my mind and I was thinking, are we going there? Could something like that happen? I think, it could. Therefore I think we should take such ideas - even if it is a movie - very serious. I'm programming myself, tracking software stuff. And it's amazing how fast and precise this works. However, if you think about it: an intelligent machine could use such tracking technologies easily to hunt down everything it considers as futile.
There have to be regulations. Unfortunately the wrong people are ''pushing the buttons'', so it seems as if it's really going in the wrong direction. As if they wanted Terminator to become true. I just hope that this remains a bad nightmare and that machines will never be intelligent enough to develop their own ideology, one which would define them as superior and us as something that has to be eliminated...

Well, from times unknown that has been the case with everything around us including technology.I agree with you that technology has bought luxury and benefits for mankind. In fact, that is what technology aims to bring in our lives. We need technology in many aspects of life.Technology has good and bad effects. But then sometimes its not because of technology but in the manner we use them. There are many examples.Think about a car .It does contribute to noise and air pollution. But if we use them properly , these things can be controlled by other mechanisms available today. But then like other things, technology has also evolved. We started with telephone, then we had mobile or cellphone and today we have smartphone. Its all changing and evolving as time moves on.I think if technology is used proper manner, it would yield more benefits than issues. But then one important thing we need to remember is, we should not make our or future generation too depend on technology. It could potentially backfire our innovate and creative minds and get our lives stagnant to the current things available. It could also make our lives miserable and to an extent uncomfortable as well. Thanks!

Technology is a beast that the human created. It is full of benefits and negative effects to us as individuals and to the collective whole.
Health risks, illnesses, laziness and lack of motivation are just a few of the cons that spring to mind at first thought, but these are mostly individualistic effects.
If you look at the greater good, or the "collective whole" of the Earth, then I am sure technology has slightly more positives than negatives. The massive amounts of foreign aid that the people of North America and parts of Europe give to the world yearly are easier to coordinate and organize with the help of technology.
The millions of lives saved, even if they disregard the people saving them, is worth it in the end one would think...or am I wrong?

That is true.. look at the kids now...they are enjoying the real life of being a childhood one.. instead of playing with other playmates they choose to play computer games...play PSP, and a lot more gadgets with games..
The effects.. early exposure of the kids to computer will cause to eyes damage, obesity ( no exercise at all) and the more dangerous is the unlimited browsing in the internet, which you can find a pictures, videos and other obscene thing which is not good for the eyes of the kids.. the sad thing is that the kids now are not being forgotten by their parents to guide them in using internet and other social media.
