Hi guyz can you help me I was planning to buy a tablet as it saves electricity and easy to carry but I am not sure if it affect its lifespan. Can I use it everyday for atleast 8hours?Currently I am using netbook for about 2 years now and recently I changed it's hardrive being damages by a malware.I used it sometimes for 10 hours straight and I now it's build in fan is no longer working.I cannot use it without electricfan because the machine easily gets hot compared before when it was new.I can stay for long hours without a fan before. So hope through your suggestion I can decide which is best to use for long hours.thank you in advance.

If you're just looking for which one is going to last longer, then it comes down to it's relation to size. So, for the longest life to the shortest life, it's PC, Laptop, Netbook, and Tablet.
A full desktop PC can last for over a decade, and still be working in the end. My Mom had one burn out recently, that she had gotten in 2002. With those, they are easy to fix up... clean out the insides if they get dusty, replace parts like hard drives and ram when you need to, and they'll last a long long time.
The Laptop and Netbook are pretty similar. If you're going for these, though, look into what kinds are out there and see their reviews. I use one of each right now, an HP Laptop and an ASUS netbook. The HP had problems from the beginning, overheating being one of the bad ones. I keep that by my bed on a board, and it words great for that. The Asus is great, small and compact, easy to bring around, makes no noise, and long battery life. You can keep one of these guys around and working (even if you're on them a bunch) for around 5-8 years.
Tablets are a different one... they are much weaker then any of the others, but they have a different operating system that lets them work better with that. You can't upgrade them at all, and there's new ones coming out every year... plus with being so easy to bring around, there's quite a chance they'll get into an accident and break. Lifespan of those guys is generally around 2-5 years.
Power also goes down as you get smaller... each of those varieties have about half the power as the one before them. PC would be around 2tb hard drive and 8gb of ram, laptop 1tb hard drive, 4gb of ram, netbook 500gb hard drive and 2-4gb of ram, and tablet 256gb hard drive and 1-2 gb of ram. If you want to be running internet, watching videos and word processing, smaller works great.. if you want to be playing new games and using powerful software, bigger is better.

I use netbook and I can say this is the best that I have. We have to choose the best brand so that it would last longer. Don't settle for cheaper brands that will just cause you more trouble.
I think there were choices given below your started discussion, he he. Mylot knows what you need.
Have a great day!

thanks well majority says its netbook.Presently I am using ACE aspire netbook and the only problem is that when I bought it the packaging includes LINUX and not windows. So Instead of installing original ones they installed pirated ones so I have been subjected to many viruses so I reformat it many times and lastly mechanical virus which damages my hardDisk.

I think pc is the best option it is repairable, long lasting . My last pc worked for years and now I gave it to some one ,it is still working good. I have bought a new one and hoping that it will do a better job :)
GOOD LUCK :)

My last PC lasted for 10 years.I built one in the last year, to my desired specs and I can honestly say that I would not buy another pre-built desktop again. For me, the large screen monitor and a full size keyboard is important for doing my work.
