I want to earn more money by using good oral English. But I really don't understand why it works a little. Every morning I get up early and go out to read English loud, however, it indeed make me feel boring and it seems that the harder I work the less I receive. I totally lose heart in it. I have to work hard in improving English because I have found a job which selling machines to other countries, which I must learn oral English well so that I could have the ability to talk with my clients. my dear friends at mylot.com, could you have some experience or some good websites, would you love to share with me. Thanks a lot. Have May Day!

Hi barryc23_9! Speaking excellent English needs a lot of practice. Even if you listen to some recorded audios online and practice those words, you still have to apply it in reality and have someone who speaks English well (Native American/British). When I listen to some local DJs on the radio (Disk Jockeys), I can still hear them committing several grammar mistakes. I know they should be a Mass Communication graduate before they got their job but I think it's somewhat acceptable since it's their second language. I have friends and relatives who are already a US Citizen (From immigrant to US Citizen) and still they don't have perfect English. Most of them can't speak straight English but as long as they can comprehend what they are trying to say, they are not humiliated.
I've worked abroad into 2 different countries. I've spoken straight English but the people there don't understand because they don't have good command of English. It depends on which country you'll communicate. Most of them don't require it unless you're in UK.

There are hundreds of web sites where you can learn to speak English but it doesn't happen overnight. English is a hard language to learn and takes a lot of time and hard work. It looks like you do pretty good. At least I could understand what your saying. There are so many people who write discussions that I have no clue what their trying to say. You will do pretty good at your job just keep studying and you'll be great. Good luck!

Hi Barry,
One way to learn good oral English would be to practice it with English-speaking friends as much as possible. If you don't have English-speaking friends go frequently to places where people are speaking English. For example, go to such places as college campuses, parks, etc. and sit on a bench next to a group of people speaking to one another. You will soon learn more English words and English grammar.
Best of luck to you in learning English!
