Mine would be History. Don't get me wrong, I love learning about the world and how the current things came to be, but I just can't remember the smallest details. I hate exams where it would be multiple choice, and there are 4 dates you have to choose for a particular event. Aaarrrgghh.
I love Math though. Everyone else seems to hate it.

I wouldn't exactly call it a subject but when I went to school we had gym every day. During the semesters when we played baseball or volley ball or basket ball I didn't have any problems but there was always that one semester that we had calisthenics. I could never do any of the things they required beyond the tuck and roll on the mat and I didn't do that well. I couldn't stand on my head, do a split, or a hand stand. Forget about a cart wheel and the balance beams were beyond me. Fortunately they never asked us to climb a rope. I never really thought about why I was so clumsy and stiff until I got older. When I was seventeen it was discovered that I had a sever case of scoliosis because I had been struck down with polio when I was a year old. That explained all of my physical limitations. If we had only known it sooner I could have gotten a doctor's pass from this class and saved myself a lot of agony and ridicule.

Mine would be math. Took me forever before I was able to pass. Also when I was in college I failed math twice so wasn't able to finish my degree and still haven't. Math is not my favorite subject.

At secondary school I didn't get on well with Maths, Science or Physical Education. I went to the head teacher and told him I hated Science. I believed I would do better in any other subject. I asked if I could please do another subject and he let me do Religious Education. I was delighted to drop Science at age 14 years old. Indeed I passed my Religious Education exam with a grade C.
I went to do a degree in Education and English also getting Qualified Teacher Status. I got on well with the Maths and Science since it was learning the background of those subjects and how to teach these to children. I hated having two lots of Physical Education at university. I hated that and it gave me the hardest time ever possible.
In my early stages of my teaching career I got used to teaching Physical Education.

Wow, I just noticed that you have posted a lot of new discussions as to the hardest subject for me when I was a student. I must say it is the maths. In fact I tried my best to study it, but somewhat I was not good at it. Perhaps I don't have talent to it. I often failed my maths exams

I find Physics and Chemistry the hardest among the subjects in college. But at least I was able to pass all my Physics and Chemistry subjects. I took up Bachelor of Science in Biology that's why I had a number of those I consider hard subjects.
Now that I am taking up LAW, I find Land Title and International Human rights Law the hardest so far. Although I also believe that the kind of professor you have is a big factor.

Oh, I love Math too. It's my major. However, my last three major subjects gave me headaches. LOL. If my professors did their best to make us understood more our lessons well, maybe they wouldn't be that difficult for me. They only give two examples and they expected us to solve a lot of problems. They just stayed in the room for a few minutes, they wrote their examples and just left us some activities to do. I also hated subjects which made me memorized a lot. LOL

Mathematics! it is the very subject which I dont like the most. I still remember when we cutted a class in Math when I was in senior high school. I was with my other three classmates in the library,we didnt attend the subject thinking that were just going to have a review for the exam. We forgot that that day was the exam, we waited for one hour before we got back to our classroom. Our classmates scared us by asking'where have you been? we had a test today'.
We did our best just to take the exam, we pleaded to the teacher until she forgive us and let us take the exam so that we could graduate.
We were too glad she granted it,only to end up getting a score of perfect zero. Of course there was no chance of cheating cause they had each one of us take the test from different corners of the room.

Science was the one thing that was hard in school, but it was only because of the teacher which did not seem to be so interested in teacher us something, so classes were boring, if someone asked about something, the techer answered just a few people, and when he did not wanted to answer us, he just told : "Those things you need to know yourselfs!" And after a while, I really stopped even trying to learn from him something. I did some learning by my own, but it is much harder than learning from someone who knows all the stuff. And it was a bit sad, cause I like science (at least parts from it).

For me, History gave me a hard time too. You're asked to memorize a lot of dates, places and more. Chemistry too. But I love this subject though it makes me confused at times.

All I remember about school is how much I hated it. Any subject could qualify as my hardest because I never applied myself. Even so, I still graduated with my class.

it depends upon the teacher if he is a good teacher I will love the subject.bUT if he is not good in teaching.I find subject boring and I lost interest in it. BUT projects in Home economics. like sewing, is not really my line. i hate sewing and other 'mom's/girly job at home'. History is always the best for me next is science.

You are absolutely right - Math was the only one subject that I hated when I was a pupil. Otherwise, I still remember my first "D" grade - we had History and I was ill 2 weeks before that day - when I came back at school the teacher decided to examine me and guess what happened :) But now - 15 years after it doesn't really matter
