There's no easy way to do it. It takes dedication and patience. A very good way to start is to cut out unhealthy things from your diet and replacing them with good food. For instance, if you are a soda drinker, quit drinking soda. Replace that with fresh juices (not the powdered ones) or better yet, green tea or water. Try to always have a bigger portion of vegetables on the plate. Preferably, 80% of your plate should be vegetables. All processed food is bad too. If you can, exercise. But always, always start with good nutrition. You can lose the weight through exercise but you will inevitably gain it back if you're eating the wrong food. It's hard at first but once you feel your body getting healthier, it will be much easier.

You are right, losing weight successfully takes patience and dedication. However, I have to disagree with you; there are easy ways to lose.
The phrases in your post that stood out to me were, cut out unhealthy things and quit.
That is when it gets hard for the one trying to shed pounds.
To say that you can't have this or that can be very overwhelming to some. Instead, how about cutting back on things or moderate your soda pop.
I know many who have lost weight and kept it off just by making a few changes in their lifestyle by having less of the things that they truly like.
I'll illustrate it this way:
Suppose a person eats 2 brownies a day and has done so for a number of years. They want to lose weight so do they have to quit or cut out the beloved brownies?
Let's start with the first week of the month. Instead of 2 brownies daily, our friend is having one a day. They do this for the first week.
On week 2 the one a day brownie becomes 1/2.
Week 3 the daily consumption of the half brownie has been reduced to a half brownie 3 or 4 times a week.
Finally on week 4 our friend feels great and loves the new found energy so he or she is perfectly content with a half brownie twice a week.
This is just an illustration but it can be set up as a realistic goal.
Our patient still enjoys the treat but look how many calories are saved each month by following a plan like this.
I do like and agree with the rest of your advice.

Well, first of all, are you just giving in and believing what people perceive you to be? Do you think the statement that people says is true personally? If you don't, then be yourself and feel comfortable under your own skin, no matter what comments other people give. This is your life, you control it. If you actually do agree about that statement, then I suggest running or jogging outdoors for half an hour. That can do wonders to burning a huge amount of calories and keeping you fit! :) If you plan to get toned too, do sit-ups, squats, lunges at home. :)

Well, we can't do it overnight... hoho! But it takes much time and discipline... :)
I just did an after six (no heavy meal after 6 pm, I only had water)... I weighed 57 kg last January and just last week when I checked, I lost 8 kg... I weigh 49 kg... (I don't know if that's (8 kg for almost 4 months) already an achievement for anyone who is trying to lose weight, but it is really a great one for me. Anyway, I stopped doing it already because I didn't go out with my friends for 4 months because of that... hahahaa! I'll do that again if I gain weight after few months.. hoho!

Diet is the most important change if you want to shed that ugly fats which keep padding in all the wrong places of your body that makes you look big. I have always been on the big size but when I was hit by high blood pressure that refuses to go away my doctor advised me to reduce my weight. And I did by total change of my diet. I took fruits and vegetables juices and cut down on my rice intake. Then I slowly began to see result and happy that within a month on this strict diet I have lost nearly 10kg and hopefully by the year end I will be able to see myself fit and slim.

My suggestion is to take an honest look at yourself. Ask yourself these important questions: Do I snack late at night? Do I skip meals? Am I physically active or am I more of a couch potato? How many calories am I consuming every day?
Losing weight does not have to be hard at all. Sometimes making moderate changes, a little at a time, can help you lose weight easily and safely.
Late night snacking is common for many people. If that is something that you do, try to cut back on that.
Skipping meals, thinking that will help you to lose will only slow down your metabolism. When that happens, you eventually gain weight. Actually, eating 4 or 5 smaller meals a day is healthier and better at helping most to lose unwanted pounds. Of course you have to be sensible about it.
Are you able to do a little exercise at least 5 days a week? When I say a little, I mean about a 30 minute walk, bike ride or some other type of aerobic? You don't have to knock yourself out, but activity is very important.
Be mindful of your portion size and sugar intake. By all means, read the nutrition labels and know what you are putting in your system.
I was never a big fan of avoiding this or that. Moderation is usually the best. What are your trigger foods? That's a rhetorical question for you to answer for yourself. Unless you have a health issue that needs to be addressed, I believe it's O.K. to splurge once in a while. Don't overdue it, then get right back on track.
Stay hydrated with water. That should always be the number one beverage of choice. Other beverages are fine as long as water is first.
So there you have it. A few tips that will hopefully help you. Don't let the list overwhelm you. Do a little at a time.
Wow, all that advice made me hungry. Time for a snack. Just kidding.

I just started a discussion about sweet potato. Maybe that food could help you trim down. By the way, the sweet potato should only be boiled, not fried.

I would first start eating small meals two to three hours apart. Drink plenty of water. This will help speed up your metablism. I drink lemon water all day and it has helped me to maintain my weight. Do not eat anything two to three hours before bedtime. Also, if you can try to buy a pedometer so you can count your steps for the day. Everyone should take at least 10,000 steps aday to stay healthly. I hope this help you, good luck!

I drink lemon water three times a day, it is both healthy and thirst quenching. If you also are able to take at least 10,000 steps a day you will see the weight fall off. I would get a pedometer to help you count your steps each day.

Hi girl :)we are defenitely in the same situation. I just quit from my job two months ago and now i became a bystander,I no longer have things to do to make my body more active. My belly got bigger that I feel so suffocated wearing my pants, i also feel like im having difficulty wearing my bra.
I think we just have to decipline ourselves in eating. I will also indulge myself in doing some household chores ...I hope it will work.

First of all loosing weight is mostly diet. So you should eat more healthier things at home and stay away from fat foods and other junk foods. Also do some cardiac at least run or walk a mile a day this will help you stay healthy. Set goals with your weight lose so when you meet them you can reward yourself someway. Good luck with your weight! I use to have the same problems and I followed these steps and lost a crazy amount of weight.

If you stay at home all the time, it really is easy to gain weight. Try to run every morning for 30mins, that will be fine. If you like eating, try switching most of your food with fruits and veggies. Drink lots of water too. I'm in the same position and i hear all these advices all the time but it works!
