Picking up clients while at work

The other day at work, this older lady was asking about birds. She was very nice, and got talking although I am not the bird expert at work I truely know nothing (like my boss says I can tell you anything about cats, dogs, small animals but nothing about birds, and reptiles).
She was asking about her dogs, and a skin issue. I refer to the one I petsit for, she goes you petsit?. I said yes I do regularly, and she asked for my name and number as she may need me as soon as next week.

well there you go another job lead for you and that would also give you a chance to look at the dog to see what the problem maybe instead of a random guess hope you have had a great weekend

That makes sense, many people do not know how to find a good pet sitter or pet walker. It is good for you and for her. I hope your moving fund is really growing.

Too bad they won't let you wear a pin that says "I petsit" that might get you a lot of clients!
But hey word of mouth, that's how to do it.
