Funny story while learning a new language.

Learning language is not really that easy. One is prone to be the laughing stock by the people. Mandarin is a tonal language. Same sound with different tone would mean different meaning. Or add or remove a letter and you change the meaning. One day I was so thirsty that I want to ask for a glass of water. Water is shui. I said "Wo yao shuai" (I want a handsome man). Or going to the skin doctor (pifu) and told the doctor that you have a problem on you pigu (butt). I am sure you have a lot stories similar to do this. Care to share it to us?

When i was a college i have a mandarin subject, but i have to drop the subject, i find it very difficult, its like my tongue is being twisted every time we had a recitation, at the middle of the semester i decided to drop the subject. Though i'm eager to learn the language but sad to say i think i can't make it.
