It is the complete opposite of what is known "Opposites attract" especially in relationships and science per se (negative attracts positive whist negative repels negative).
But with my experience I am attracted more to a person that we have the same interest because he/she can relate very well to my giggles, desires, longing and plans. Having the same inspiration, the same goal and alsmot the same plan. It works well with me since I don't have to argue just to prove that what I'm doing or what my dreams can be achievable.
Are you like me?
Or you enjoy people with different interest because they are challenging?
Have a graet day!

I always get attracted to a guy who is my opposite. I am quiet by nature so I would be attracted to guys who talks a lot and is not as introvert as I am. But with friends, of course, they should be people that have the same interests as I have, well, mostly I guess.

My husband and I were very alike in goals and ideals and we both had a good sense of humour. Humour is needed when you are farmers and then a hurricane comes and destroys everything. I think that like does attract like and I do enjoy conversations with friends who may have different view points but would'nt have married a person like that.

I think like attracts too as it only makes sense. Why would someone want to be with someone when you have nothing in common? On the other hand I can see when it makes sense to seek the opposite.
A simple example of this is in conversation. How boring it is to have a discussion with someone that is the mirror image of yourself specially if you are looking for a different outlook that might inspire something new.
