when we visited the doctor for my nephew's illness, the doctor said we should return after three days. the next day, my nephew got well already. i asked my mom if we will return to the doctor, she said there's no need since the patient's already cured. do you usually do the same?

most of us do just like that.its okey if the illness is not that serious but if its life threatening never do that habit.

my nephew's disease was UTI. his fever went to 39.6C so we brought him to the clinic. he's okay now. back to normal. very active playing so my mom didn't worry that much.

When I seek advice from a doctor regarding an illness of my child, I make sure that I go back for a check up to be really sure that the kid has completely recovered. There should be no second-guessing when it comes to the health of a child.

@iluvusabado Well, yeah. I also do not feel the need to go back to the doctor if I think that I am fine. But with my children, I need to be really 100% sure.

if the symptoms are gone, i usually just skip follow ups. especially if the illness is not that serious.

Yes I do. It's like to know how much improvement I had since the last visit. And sometimes my doctor isn't asking for fee for follow up check-ups, so no need to worry about money, just have to find time. :)

the doctor is really nice. it's our first time to visit her clinic. she was very accommodating. the symptoms are gone so we assumed he's okay now.
