It is that happy season of the year, when many a young people has flashed their grad pix on facebook, happy because at last, after years of studying, taking exams, researching, one is now receiving that hard earned diploma.
But one diligent student has died before she received hers. The university though deemed it wise to convey on her a posthumous Bachelor's degree, for one reason only - she deserves it.
Here's her story. http://ph.news.yahoo.com/not-your-ordinary-graduation--uplb-grants-posthumous-degree-061335902.html
Alyssa, yours is a life well lived. Congratulations.

That is the reason why I blogged her story, so others would know her and make her their inspiration to succeed in life.

Hello eileen,
Full of admiration yet sadness for such a young life gone from this World. Very brave girl I have read that bit about her.
Fully deserving of that Graduation Diploma just wish she had lived to see it and become a working Vet goodness knows there are not enough of them around. Love and light.xxx

We lament the demise of the ones who really do their best to live good lives. She deserved a home in heaven.

Hello Eileen. It´s always sad when a youngster leaves us so soon. A classmate of my daughter also left us last week. They fly like angels. Their virtues will always remain as paths to follow them to heaven.
Blessings Eileen... dainy

Thanks for the blessings, dainy, and likewise, blessings to you, too.
Yes, when young people die so soon, and they have achieved excellence in their young lives, it makes you feel so sad, because they could have been someone more worthy of living lives...
I also had two students in the past who expired when they were under my tutelage, I really felt grief pierce my heart, they were so wonderful. I talk to them every now and then, for I know they have become angels guarding me all the time. One is called Racquel and the little cherub is called Vida.

I had read it last night, and I was touched with Alyssa's perseverance in finishing her degree. It made me realize the value of education. She was battling with cancer, yet she perseveres in getting a degree.
Alyssa is an inspiration. I consider her as one. She's an example that even if we have an illness, it should not be a hindrance.
I also liked her parents, Some parents would just let their child stay at home and wait until their child die. But they are different. Instead they're the ones who encouraged their daughter.

We should cherish our lives and make our efforts to create more beautiful lives for ourselves. Don't make yourself live in the old days, we should move on. God blessing those who can't enjoy their lives more.

No one knows exactly when one's time is up, there are people who had been born with congenital diseases but lived full lives. Life is a blessing, and yes, we cherish that blessing.
