How tough are you?

I am tough. I can endure great amounts of pain, long hours of sleepiness and days of hunger. BUT that was before, when I was still single and have all the time for me.
I used to be up for two days without sleep and without much food in doing researches and project during university years. I can even endure hunger and sleeplessness with the help of water. With pain, I don't complain with small or big bruises or wounds because I think it doesn't help to cure or get it better.
But enduring pain or hunger can be a disadvantage more than a help. Once I had a surgery and my surgeon reminded me to tell him whenever I feel even just a little pain so he can put anesthesia and can continue smoothly with the operation. Tolerance on pains prove me wrong, I did request for another shot of anesthesia because the pain's unbearable to me. Another problem was when I was always enduring hunger and not eating on time. I had this stronger pain in my stomach and had it checked. The result - dyspepsia-like ulcer. A whole is developing in my stomach. S-C-A-R-Y!
Now, I feel hungry just 2 hours after waking up. And get headaches and strong stomachaches whenever I haven't eaten or haven't taken my nap. But I still have high tolerance to pain. How about you? :)

I can say I have high tolerance in pain also when my cease removed at my left chest I was awake the whole time watching how they worked on removing the cease and even at the end of the operation the anesthesia fades it's effect it really bothered me much and when I cut myself before and it was sewed I don't find it so hurtful and I guess being tolerant to pain is an advantage somehow it shows how strong you are physically

I can handle pain but not all the pain specially if it is an emotional pain, i can tolerate physical pain because i'm used to it and there are so many ways to endure physical pain, but emotional pains is hard.

We can surely say " we're tough " when obviously we're at our younger age. We don't mind hunger, heat from the scouring sun, tiredness and extra power compare to what we are today. This is the accumulated abuses we did to our body when we were still young. There would be feeling that we can still do it but we can't anymore to to some "wear and tear" on our body. It is only in our mind...the mind is willing but the flesh is already weak....nice post my friend..
