My husband and I met in 2008 and 4 months later we got engaged and moved in together. In my other relationships things didn't go that fast, but my husband and I were both sure about our feelings and we chose to get engared after only 4 months. One year later we got married so today we have been married for 4 years. We are going to celebrate our anniversary in the middle of May and we both feel that we made the right decision when we decided to get engaged after a short time.

It all depends on the capability of a man to settle down with his becoming wife.I had a girlfriend once that we've been engaged for 13 years but I never had a chance to proposed though I really wanted to because she had a planned of going abroad. what was the use of proposing? yes, and we never meant for each other. It is hard to say,I've dated with my exboyfriend for 3years,but we finally broke up. He slept with other girls when we were dating. Hi there Anji1985! I think it depends upon the situation. In my case, we have been best friends, then there was no courtship per se that took place, we got into a relationship. A month after, I moved in, and seven months after, we got married.

We dated for 3 months before we became an item. After a year and a month being in a relationship, we got married. But we're really planned of getting married after two years more but my father in law wouldn't be in the country in that year so we left by no choice but to get married earlier because of course we want him to be present during the wedding.
