I had one discussion deleted because ##This is a notification from myLot. Your question has been deleted because of the following reason: No significant discussion content Please refer to our discussion guidelines and our Terms of Use. Original Post Title: finally got good news from bubblews!! It was a discussion which I started about getting paid by Bubblews for the first time. I felt that the many responses there given by the other members were gone to waste. Sorry guys!

Congrats on your success on bubblews. I have not seen that discussion of yours. Some of my discussions in the past have been deleted for one reason or another. There are times that even when we think that our discussion has not violated any rules it will be deleted by the mylot team.

I always take some time to read the guidelines before I get back using mylot. It takes me a lot of time, making sure a discussion will satisfy all the rules. It's hard, and that's why this website has a high level. The rules are not too specific and a milestone like getting payment is not specified at the rule under Don'ts at the guidelines. Birthday, anniversary, mylot rank are mentioned and are forbidden to start discussion about oneself milestone. Payment is not mentioned there. It can be derived because it is also a personal milestone though...What about one got a new job and wants to share with everyone and talk about that job ? The personal issue is the thing that is forbidden.

Frankly I didn't read the mylot rules thoroughly and only read it once, that was years ago. haha, but I did have an idea by knowing which discussions were deleted. Like any discussion that aims for personal benefit, getting referrals, talking about mylot problems and such. I can understand that mylot is protecting itself by deleting such discussions.

Honestly, I didn't find any rule at the guidelines (do and not to do) that forbid posting about websites that pay. It's not like one tries to get other users into a pyramid schem or chain letters (it is against rule number 19 at the "Don'ts" at the guidelines (and not the terms. a link to the guidelines is at the bottom of the screen). There is a rule, though that this kind of discussion doesn't satisfy in my opinion and that's rule number 9 under the Dont's at the guidelines (at the bottom of the screen you can see the link to the guidelines). There might be a chance that kind of discussion doesn't have a substance... O.o What do you think ? Is there any guideline that got ignored ?

I think the mylot staff were right. What a variety of responds would you get for posting you got paid by a website ? The trivial results would be complements for you for getting paid, some would show interest in registering and would ask how that website works. The headline you chose was about you got paid. You could choose a more general headline like ... I somehow don't find an appropriate headline because I don't like telling people I got paid from a website and I don't like talking about a website just because it pays money. It sounds tendentious... Why exactly did you start that discussion ?

Hi stringer321! well, it was posted with good intentions. I was only so happy that I wanted to share it that happiness to people I know would be sharing the same joy I felt. I was not even aware of the rules and regulations so it was really my fault not to be that vigilant enough. I did not mean to offend this site or brag about that accomplishment...it was a serendipitous move I never thought would be the cause of the deletion. Thanks for this response. Now i am afraid that it might be deleted too???

Let's do hope that this one won't be deleted next. This is a common mistake being made by members. Discussion about - celebrating milestones/payment OR discussing personal account problem like mentioning deleted discussions or decreasing in activity rating/mylot rating - will likely be deleted.
