I am living in an apartment that have about 72 rooms and I am almost at the top floor but there is not a problem because there is a lift.
Last night, there is no a single drop of water come out from the tap and for flushing toilet.
I went to asked the housekeeper, he said we are fixing it, it should be fine in an hour, so I wait. one hour pass nothing come out, I started to be impatient, I went to knock to next door to ask the girl next door if she knows anything abou this.
She advised me to use empty bottles that I have to take some water from the ground floor because it seems the problem will not be solved withing tonight. I went to take water. Oh... my gosh, there are load of people waiting in the line to get water (I have to mention that the temperature here is abover 35 C). It is impossible to sleep without shower or clean yourself abit after a long day. Finally, I used 6 bottles of 1.5 L water for everything before go to bed.
I went back to re-fill those bottles for the morning. I am hoping that the problem will be solved when I will leave my office this afternoon.

Most of the fresh water is in places like Canada and the USA. Lands that are hated by the world. Water will soon run out for many..it is sad, but inevitable.

this is a very hard situation. water is very essential in lives. i live in rome where water is everywhere. there are drinking fountains with free flowing water on the streets. people who get thirsty just quench their thirst from the cold water of these fountains. however, drinking is not the only use of water. we need it in our homes for cooking and cleaning.
last year, hubby and i arrived home from work to find the tap dry. i was about to call my landlord to complain but then i changed my mind and called a friend who lives in the neighborhood. it turned out that the main water pipes were closed because they were fixing a leak. the pipes broke and they needed to replace these immediately so they weren't able to put notices in the buildings. i was glad that they were fast with the job and we had water supply back in 5 hours.

Man can't live without water. I have experienced the time without water, the longest period is about two days. We had to go the supermarket to buy some mineral water to cook and drink, I can only wash my face with it, but I didn't clean my body as it would need much water, I know it's not comfortable, but it's a waste of money , so I had to bear it. Luckily, it's not that hot that time. Hope you will have water sooner, thanks for sharing! Have a nice day!
