Moods For Writing Better Poetry

I do love writing poems but I write them more effectively when I have overwhelming feelings. When I'm in love and brokenhearted.
When I read my poems maybe a week or a month after I wrote it, I ask myself if I really was the one who made the poem. I find it weird at times that I could write poems like the ones I made. It's like I can't believe I did it myself and it makes me feel like I have another identity within me that gives me the capability to write them.
Have you ever had this feeling? Do all people who write poems experience this?

yes u are right, i know we all can write poems if we are given a pen and a paper but not all poems written by us would be readable and enjoyable as those would lack feelings and emotions. It is said that in order to write a poem, we need to be prepared mentally so that we can give way to our emotions and feelings while writing.

Yes and I love writing when my emotions pour onto them. They're like a part of me afterwards. :)
