He said people in jail will lose their TV

Really, life becomes so hard in the jail, but it's against the rule to provide any comfortable thing in the jail.

In my country it is possible to rent a tv in the prisons. They wouldn't take the tvs away from the people who have paid for them, but people who aren't willing to or able to pay don't get a tv. I think it is fair that they have to pay for the tvs instead of getting a free tv. Some of inmates are allowed to use computers during their stay in the prison. You can't just bring your laptop. If you are able to prove that you need a computer (for instance because you take classes while you are in prison) you can send a written request to the management. They decide if you will get permission to use a computer or not.

I suppose TV should be a privilege and not a right.

People are in jail for punishment. You don't let your kids have back till they are done with there punishment the things you have taken away. As a human we don't need comfy beds or tv we have them and they are just objects nothing more or less. People jail don't need those because they Re serving time for what ever they have done. They are lucky to get three meals a day and to see the outside and to just connect with other people outside of the jail.

well a few of the jails that I know of all have television but they do have times that it is turned on if your lucky and if there is bad issues in the area that your in they take it away and they are put into lockdown
