A very very brief post...
Will you be here next week, when the changes take place and they stop paying us?
I will still be here.
It took me three and a half months to make the payout last time.
I am not going to disappear over $3 a month.
I will stick around until the Mylot regime annoys me enough.

I've been here four years and I think I've made payout 3 times. So, yeah, the "money" isn't and has never been an issue for me here. A friend of mine brought me here back when McCain and Obama were going at it in 2008, and I kinda just stuck around after enjoying the rants. Money has never been a motivating factor.
However, that all said, myLot can afford to not only keep paying but they could actually pay more! With their cheap-azz, never-load baby servers and with their copying and flooding search engines with massive amounts of our content, they should be doing quite well.
But if they take the $10.17 I have now, I'm going to sue! That's been building up a penny at a time for almost a year. I have plans for an Arby's roast beef with that.

That is a good point you make...
What happens to all the earnings that don't reach the payout figure?
Do they take it back?
We earned that under previous conditions

I suspect that they, the management, are going to have to work very hard indeed to keep people. Many Asian and Philipinos will go once the lure of filthy lucre is removed. So will many westerners. The issue will be entirely one of ensuring healthy discussion when the incentive is simply the enjoyment of our fellow humans. I already meet many of my myLot friends elsewhere as well as here. If they all leave and nothing stimulating replaces them my own incentive to stay will diminish. However, I came initially for the money and stayed for the banter. One has almost gone, let's hope the other decides to hang around a while longer.

mylot gives me many happy personal memories, including yourself. Going to the local museum to find out about the crashed spitfire one of your relatives flew.
These things could only have happened with mylot, no other site i can think off would have revealed the details of where we lived which resulted in these personal discovery's.

The money earning never really mattered here, I came to be part of something. If people start to drift away and the level of interest drops, then that is when I will leave

It takes me two, sometimes 3 months to reach payout too so money isn't much of an incentive. However, the exchange rate being better us Brits (lately) were getting more to the dollar..and now this. I will stay and put any newbies off that want to join the site..as most of us KNOW what it used to be like and they really, REALLY need to be informed about it.

I will hang around for now Janey, until people start to disappear and then I will leave I would imagine.

I think the ones that have been here a long time will say NOW that they're going and never coming back..but I honestly think they WILL BE BACK (like Arnie) in the future. Whether they will be able to use their original 'names' I don't know.
Petitions have been mentioned as well, which is interesting. People power and all that. I have visions of Lamby starting one of those up.

I suspect that once I stop using this site, I will pretty much stop going online. Every few weeks a site closes down and another earner disappears.
If you do leave Mylot, Then I will wish you all the best on your move to the US.
Have a good life my friend
you deserve it.

I don't think I'd really stay, I couldn't also say that I'd totally go.. Perhaps I would be lingering around because maybe they'd change their minds. But for sure, I wouldn't spend as much time as I do now.
It's really sad. But we've got to be practical.
Have a great mylot experience ahead!

I plan to stay as long as enough members remain to make it worthwhile and they keep the discussion aspect of the site going.

Yes i will be here,i used to post on Yahoo Answers,Facebook Discussions, Twitter and EspnCricinfo, yes i was active in Mylot but i used to concentrate more on tasks than discussions,in those days there were lot of article writing tasks. However recently i started participating in discussions too as there are nice and friendly people here and the discussions were free from unnecessary provocations and abuses like there are in other discussion forums. With recent developments and people wishing goodbye to each other , there will only be handful of people here.Out of those how many will reply me if i post something is a big question.

To be honest I probably won't. I've never actually made cashout here, which means I don't use the site too much. But I would check in from time to time and post in things I found interesting, trying to eventually hit that magic $10. (Which I'm still $6 away from).
So, if there's no reward, I've got better ways to use my free time and make a little extra dough.

i will be here to see how it goes. i don't think i will spend as much time responding to discussions as i do now. i enjoy this site and i enjoy reading the posts.
it took me 45 days to earn 12.98 dollars. if mylot not changing, i would have wanted this to reach 100. in fact, i had set my payout to the max becasue i read from the discussions that mylot has never failed to pay so i was confident i would get paid when the time comes.

Yeah, I think curiosity will get the best of me and I will be peeking around to see what's going on.
I appreciate your perspective; $3.00 a month isn't close to a car or mortgage payment.
I'll see what's what and take it from there.

I'll be here a bit to see what my friends are up to but I already joined a mylot refugee place on facebook and I imagine ..ok i KNOw I'LL spend more time there. Not a facebook fan but if I'm going to be anywhere...may as well be there as opposed to here. Same people plus there are all my family and personal friends there as well. I probably won't even spend a lot of time there either. Money was not the reason I was on mylot so much but it was my justification. It is what I did to wind down at the end of the day. I may just read more books now. who knows. Administrations original message was so rude and insulting that I will definitly only be here to check in with you guys from time to time and I do want to see the new site. I am not going to help them earn money by posting as I was before.

Hello Rob,
I have proved with my first payment here that you can reach payout in a month with no problems. My first payment was of 12.26 dollars and I managed to get to it in the first month of joining, with less then 1 month to get to the mark with success.
I have received more then 100 dollars in about 5 years, but you can imagine how lazy I have been, with periods when I got about 2 payments per year.
All the best if you stay, have fun and enjoy your stay of course !
A good day to you !

It depends :) I joined myLot primarily to earn money and I'm very honest with that. But since they will stop the earnings program, then I might look for other ways in order to increase my earnings.
I still might go here from time to time however, I won't be spending too much time on the site anymore.
