I'm throwing this one out to everyone,as I don't want to get into a battle of the sexes on this..
But a video was posted on Facebook recently that I happened to see-A woman in a small car trying to reverse into an ideally sized parking spot..The video was being recorded by what seemed to be Students from a second floor window across the street, and the first thing the Guy recording said was this had been going on 20 minutes before he started..the video runs for 14.5 minutes after that..!
I'm told that the story was featured on the news here last night..

I've been ok with most cars I've owned or driven, but occasionally get to drive a van for work, and I do NOT like being in the situation where reversing those things is involved..I'm BLIND back there! My Brother's father in Law had a big SUV that I ended up as designated driver with..a Lexus..now THAT had the right idea,a reversing camera that should be on ALL big vehicles!

My folks gave me a tip for cars, and it works almost all the time, but vans don't have that handy "landmark" and it took FOREVER to mostly figure out where the "magic" point was. I don't really parallel park my SUV, since I'm mostly in parking lots these days so I've never figured out the spot.

20 whole minutes just to park a car??? i must think that this woman rarely drives. to me it's all about practice, practice and more practice.
i can do parallel parking and reverse parking pretty well. but then again i've been driving for the past thirteen years. i do have an issue with head in though cause i rarely do it. also, the lots over here are pretty small so not much space to do head in parking.
overall, i have to admit that woman are not so good with parking. research has shown that female are weaker in their spatial ability. this is vital for parking. it's no wonder that we are just not as good.

Unless you know the technique of how to park it can be very frustrating. Must have been a funny video.

Well, I have no problem with the reverse parking on a vertical lot with small to medium sized car . However, There will be a little problem when comes to side parking. I will not choose to have it if given a choice. Not so much problem with a smaller car though but I would need a longer time with a bigger car . .

This particular car model involved,a Vauxhall/Opel Corsa, would have been a popular Driving school car when they came out,so visibility shouldn't have been an issue..
