Hello myLotters!
As you all know, today is May 1 in the Philippines. Which means Labor Day is being celebrated. As expected, there are a lot of rallies from different labor groups being conducted, all fighting for their rights as workers.
While I was on my way to UST, I already saw a group of labor unions gathering in different streets along Espana. But I was shocked to see that there are senatorial candidates who are taking advantage of May 1 by bringing in their so-called supporters, wearing a standard shirt while carrying placards with the senatorial candidates' face on it. And worse, these people will even mingle with the labor unions, as if they are participating in the rally. Talk about name recall and visibility.
It's sickening to see that. Oh well. Politicians and their ambitions.
What are your thoughts on this? :)

I do not think that is the way to go although to each he's own and i respect their opinion so long as they do not go beyond what is legal and cause trouble and inconveniences to those who don't really care, take advantage? For me i think it is better to stay at home and think of bright new ideas to make more money, think of how to graduate from a laborer to a higher rank or become an entrepreneur and own your company one day and have workers working under you instead of being in the streets and proclaiming or like saying i would be in this level forever and ever..Yes the "epal" politicians are sure to take advantage, pretending to sympathize in order to get votes from the poor masses

You have a point. It's normal for these politicians to utilize all means in order to gain votes from the masses, even if it means making themselves visible in rallies or any events. After all, they only have a few weeks left before election so they need to make the most out of the remaining time.

As you said, today is vacation day! We will go to the beach and have a party. I am also a laborer and therefore I need a break. Break would mean no work, no stress, do not get angry and just enjoy life with your family.
