I agree that e-books have their benefites such as the saving of space. However, reading an e-book means I have to stare continuously at the computer screen and that hurts my eyes. Therefore, I prefer to read printed books which can be read comfortably, at leisure. Do you also find that reading an e-book is hurting to the eye? Do you prefer e-books or printed books?

Hello Frederick ! The point is NOT to read them on a computer - that is indeed hurtful to the eyes. The best way to read an e-book is to get a special device (ebook reader) which actually has virtually no light, unlike a tablet or an LCD monitor, and thus the damage to eyes will be close to inexistant.

I've never even tried out e-books, being a fan of the real, paper books, but sure it strains your eyes more to look at the computer or e-book reader screen. Reading is a way to get away from the computer after all, and I wouldn't give up printed books, no matter they take up more space.

I read ebooks but I read paper backs more. With ebooks, yes, it strains the eyes especially when you are wearing glasses or if you have poor eyesight. I suggest, that when your eyes starts to hurt by reading ebooks, stop and rest. You can just go back into reading when you already feel better.
