What are the ways to reduce overweight?....

My mother is suffering from heavy weight since years....
She is now unable to walk evenly on a floor...
She feels very fear while stepping down the stairs...
She takes only few roties every day for her food needs instead of rice...
She don't want to see any doctor to get rod of her issue...
She asks me few ways to tell her about the hints to reduce over weight...

There are a lot of ways to help reduce weight, including controlling how much and what kind of food and getting appropriate exercise. BUT the key to any weight loss is motivation. If your mother really wants to lose weight, she will. If she's determined, she will move around a little more, eat a little less and keep doing that. Unless there is a medical reason for her weight gain, she will lose weight.

the best way to reduce your weight is to close tightly your mouth,or if somebody offers you to eat something move your head right to left direction....hahahahaha,i think this is the best way toreduce onese wieght....

A number of things can be done:
1) Reduce fat intake. That can include reducing portion sizes and the number of meals eaten daily.
2) increase the number of calories burned. You mentioned she does not feel safe on the stairs-perhaps she could try water therapy. Doing exercises are easier on the joints too.
3) not eating processed foods. That would include white bread and white sugar.
4) Check with the doctor to see if there's a medical issue, like her thyroid malfunctioning.
Her doctor will be the first place to go to learn the safest ways for her to drop weight.

I would say cut back on chips and fried foods go more for fruits, vegatabes, and beans are good for you. It is hard I know, sometimes we must make the effort of moving more even if sore. chair exercise is good by lifting the legs while setting and trying to add to it more each day and then try to stand and move here and there and having the want to is most important. keep asking her and never give up hope for moms are important and tell her you love her and are concern and want to do help in ways you can. words are important make a fun thing of what you do. laugh often and lots of smiles . make meals with more water, jello and different tastes items. keep busy with crafts and movement, reading together the Bible with fun ways of learning and talking more, go to church or have a preacher visit and talk . good friends of getting out and trying to be interested keeps ones mind on wanting to do more. It is wonderful you care for your mom . God Bless .

Suggest she eat vegetables that don't have sugar in them. I read that we should only eat about 32 grams of sugar a day. If your mother could cut down on the amount of sugar she eats, it might help.
