May Day has some different meaning like the spring festival, as term in the communication through radio, term "mayday" which is synonymous with SOS in morse signal and etc May 1 is International Labor Day which celebrated all over the world, except in the USA. In most Labor Day celebrations, there is no party .... in the Labor Day there is only a labor demonstration which demands welfare, fair wages, social security, labor protection, medical benefits, freedom of association without fear of being criminalized, etc unfortunately, the Government remains indifferent and chose not to respond the labor demands ... So, for what celebrate Labor Day if in the end the government keep indifferent and chose not to respond the labors' demands

If the government does not respond to the needs of the labor force its an empty celebration. I know a few countries where its labor force is honored on that day.

We celebrate it through never ending protest like the issues that involves contractual employment and salary increase. There's a reason to celebrate it, because we need to show our voice, if you guys give up there, there won't be any hope at all.

You are right, the Labor Day has no parties, but usually demonstrations to ask for better labor conditions. We also celebrate the International Labor Day on the 1st of May.
