Yes I gave mine. It is safe. I've had my Paypal account for 7 years now.

Yes, it is safe to share credit card number with paypal. I did it long time ago to get my paypal account verified and I was charged some fee through my credit card for the process.

I have given my credit card when I needed to pay for something on ebay, but I always take it out again. In part because I never know when next I'll buy something and sometimes I buy something that the roomie is actually paying for, so I use hers.

Yes, it's totally safe. I verified my PayPal account years ago and have never had any issue with the financial information I've given them, such as bank account number and credit/debit card numbers. They're very good about protecting that sensitive information.

I think it is, but it's also a good thing to check your account/credit card bills but also paypal frequently. Which one should do with his/her bankaccount as well. My granny once said it's wise to do so. She found out there are plenty of times money is taken of which she never gave her permission for. As I started to check it was the same. It's easy e-banking etc.. but still you are in charge plus responsible for what is payed for or not.
