What's up with Gather?

Anybody here use Gather is a friend in gather? Can you enter your account? The website? I think it is almost a month since I could get the website up. Ever since then whenever I try to go to gather it is stuck in the homepage, doesn't even finish to load it. Is it just me? What could cause such a thing?
