Welcome back to MyLot. You are aware, I hope, that MyLot no longer pays us for what we do here, however we are now allowed to post links to other sites (including our own blogs, articles and referral links) as long as they comply with the new Community Guidelines - see the Help link up there on the left next to your name.
I'm glad you like the new design. It has taken some people a while to get used to but I think more and more people are getting used to the changes.

it would be helpful if there's also a how-to guide in the help section. in other sites, there are announcements and instructions when you log in so you're sure to see them. i still don't know how to do a lot of things here.
like how do you add friends so you can message them?
when you like a post, does it benefit anyone?
does liking and tagging (even without responding or commenting) mean those discussions will show up in your activity or in the interesting section?
what is the suggest button for and how do you use it?
if these questions have been asked and answered, i'm sorry to repeat them, but i'm hoping others are wondering about these, too.
i do like the latest discussions and responses showing up first, but i still prefer the 10 discussions or 10 responses per page rather than scrolling down, down, down...
i also prefer seeing all the comments inside each response box because i don't always see the "show all comments" inserted there.
i'm glad you answered my message even if we're not connected here in the new mylot.
see, i didn't feel the need to add you in the old mylot because i can easily view your activity in your old profile.
in this new mylot it seems that the default setting is everyone can message us. is it risky to keep it open? will i be vulnerable to viruses?
i'm really glad there are mylotters who still drop by to guide lost and confused mylotters like me. thanks in advance, owlwings

@hereandthere Thank you, indeed, for your list of questions! These are more valuable to me than you might imagine because they are exactly the sort of questions which need to be answered in a User Guide.
When I first saw the new site, it was very clear to me that many people used to the old system would find it confusing to navigate so I quickly wrote an 'unofficial' guide of my own, which you can find here:
The answers to questions such as yours are next on my list to add and I shall be doing that in the next few days. However, I will address them specifically in a comment below this.

Welcome, Priyanka! I think that, even though MyLot no longer offer any earnings program themselves, you may well find some "sweet and good" things here. It is a discussion site, where, hopefully, you will find advice and suggestions from others concerned with online earning and where you may meet people with whom you can share your experiences and learn from theirs.
The program is quite new, having been launched on May 1st, and there is, as yet, no official guide or FAQs. I have published a very brief guide to fill a gap which I felt was needed but, at the moment, it is no more than a brief tour of the menu system. I hope, however, to be adding to it shortly and you can find it here:
