It's very easy to gain weight after gastric bypass surgery

You might think that gastric bypass surgery is a fix-all for an obese person to get thin again. I can tell you that it's not. While the surgery DID save my life, it didn't get me down to my ideal weight. I lost bout 1/3 of my body weight with the bypass. At first I lost 140 pounds, then I lost another 10 pounds within an 18 month window. I didn't have to try to lose that weight. It just melted off from me. But after that first 18 months my body began to adjust. Read about my experience here. Thanks in advance.

It Sounds as if gastric bypass surgery is something getting immediate result.However I still think the best way to lose weight is to be on a diet and get plenty of exercise.

@PointlessQuestions I know what you meant.You have surely had hard time when you were overweight that much.Fortunately the surgery is successful and now you have got used to this eating habits.In my opinion,Whether or not the surgery is successful depends on your will- power.

My friend Ann had gastric bypass surgery. Initially she lost a lot of weight, but I know she gained much of it back. I guess a lot of it still depends on diet, exercise and other health factors.
