A Lazy Mother's Day (sort of)

I got to sleep in until 10, and I got breakfast in bed. I got cards, flowers, a rose and chocolate.
Then I got up and did chores. Mainly I did laundry and grocery shopping. I also swapped out a litter box where the little had gotten a bit old, and tossed some old, crappy food.
But other than that, it was a lazy mother's day.
How was yours?

Did you take a day off on mother's day? We tend to buy mothers substantial stuffs that day.For example,I bought my 92 year old mother oatmeal in bags.

Mother's day is on Sunday, which isn't a work day anyway. Usually I send flowers or something, but this year I'm on a very tight budget, so I just sent a card (to my step-mother, my boyfriend's mother and my ex-husband's mother).

It was wonderful....quiet. I got up early and worked on some cards I need for an order then skyped with my daughter from Georgia....then my son called to invite me for lunch.....then skyped with my daughter from California...then the rest of the day spent with my son and later a friend came over for a few hours. It was quiet but very nice.

Honesty speaking, that kind of life is what I really dreamt of, but now I have to go to work which is the important source for my living...
Sometimes I am thinking the significance of life, I do not like what I am doing evryday without taking care of my parents and if one day I have a child I would like to have more time with my child, I think that is the ral meaning for me , to be an excellent housewife~
