It's been awhile since I last checked in MyLot and it looks to me that the new face is a high breed of Fb and twitter. It takes some getting use to.

True I am still used to the old one and am actually looking for the interest I have with me in the old site but I could not find it anymore. I find it hard to looks for my friend's post anymore unless I really explore the few options left to explore in here. But I do hope they could restore the interest I chose since most of my friends stay there and the topics are very much related to my interest but in the new mylot interest is scattered already and you really have to scour each and every post that would catch your interest.

In effect, Interests and tagging have been combined so that you should be able to find the discussions you are looking for by searching for the Interest name(s) you used to use. In Explore, too, the 'Interesting Posts' list is based on the tags you have used most frequently. As long as people learn to make good and intelligent use of tagging, it should be just as easy to find things as before. Most people find that the more they use the site, the better they like it.

The menu system is certainly very similar to Twitter but the post format is very different and much more amenable to saying worthwhile things than the 140 characters allowed in Twitter! There are now many things you can do here, including promoting your other interests and sharing links, so long as you observe the Community Guidelines, which you can find unde the "Help" link at the top left, next to your username and avatar. There is also a brief, unofficial guide here:
