once i saw in tv that there's a 11 year-old girl name ashley who suffer this kind of disease, progeria or hutchinson-gilford syndrome. it's kind of genetic disease that can make your cell become old fast. rapid aging.
so, the people who suffer this kind of disease will look older 7 times faster than ordinary.
like... have you ever watched "jack" casted by robin williams?
even the film didn't excatly show what the progeria is, but it pictured that jack get older 4 times than common people (well, actually the progerian older 7- 11 times than usual)
so, when he was 17, he look like a 68year-old grandpa.
can you imagine to get older in your 9 years old age?

Maury Has open a few peoples eyes to this disease, Ashely who lives in Alberta I have seen her around and she has open my eyes to the fact that living with a disability or illness doesn''t have to be live changing or live haulting......and thus the saying comes to mind...Why not me instead of why me.

a nice comment. trully, my tears dropped when i saw ashley in TV. in contrary, illness maybe make you strong, maybe make you thankfull to how prescious the life is.

poor kid. i hope those scientist can find a cure for this disease quick. imagine the whole future of a child is destroyed by this disease.

since it's a kind of genetical disease, it wouldn't infect others. and the percentage of the patients is small. the expectation is only 1:4,000,000
but i agree that the scientist should do something for that kids.
