Selling online?

Hi I have no idea on how to sell online but I would love some help and ideas from everyone. I am currently unemployed and I make some crafts for personal use but I was told that they are good enough to sell and so I might. But I also like to look for good sales and I might resale what I find for a good low price to make some money from that item. So do I need to have a special permit, license or tax id number to sell online? Do I use my home address on the shipping label or PO Box? Where can I buy the shipping material for a good price? Best sites to sell online? Pricing the items I know I will have a tough time because I don’t want to give them away and also I don’t want to not be able to sell because it’s too expensive. I know I have many more questions but I can’t remember what they were but any help I can get please to push me in the right direction to start selling to make a profit. Thank you for your time
