Do you live for life or survive?

Someone lives for hard-work,money, reputation,status, etc,but lack of the mercy to others or lose their primary wants. And exist the others, who live a balanced life,rich and valuable,never give up their wants what they really want in the life, and spare no effort to do somebody favors.
