So yesterday I went home and waited for the Comcast guy. 4:00, nobody. 4:30, nobody. 5:00, nobody. 5:30, finally the doorbell rings. It's him. He took a look around, and came back to the door, and said it could be good news or bad news. He was still checking. Then he came back and said somebody had put a bad something or other during the drop. I have no idea what that means, but apparently he replaced the bad something or other. So we turned my modem off and back on again and waited for the lights to come on. They didn't right away, but he said it was because of a firmware update. Then he went to his truck to check the signal strength. While he was gone, the internet light went on, so I fired up the laptop and tried to check my e-mail. Voila! Internet. Then I tried the phone. Hm... Busy signal. So I waited for him to knock again when the phone rang. It was the Comcast guy checking the phone. Anywho, I am back up and running, and was on here a little last night. but I was mostly catching up on All My Children. Now I just need to call the dum dums and see how much of a bill credit they are going to give me. She's baaaaack......
