It's my kids first day of school.I'm very excited for them.
I wish they can make good this school year. I want them to excel.
I am a stage mom. I have so much dream for them since we can afford to send them in a
private school. As compared to my yesterday, they are so lucky.
So much.
I grew up in an average class Filipino family. I am the eldest of five.
My father is a government employee while my mom is a plain housewife.
I remembered urging my mom to work but my father disagreed. She
wanted her to stay at home for the children. But life was hard
because we're all studying. We all ended up studying in a public school.
Private school was a dream for me. In fact, I so much envied my pals
who were studying there. I always thought that private school students
were more intelligent and beautiful than those in public schools.
When I graduated in the university, while I was seeking for a job, I noticed
something again. Big companies are hiring students from reputable schools.
In my country, there are 3 big schools and the fact that the ads for hire
enumerated them. I feel so disappointed. How come there are such things as these?
Reality check, there's no assurance that you will become great if you
study in these so called reputable schools.
Now that I am a parent, I want the best for my kids.I don't know if I can send them to the
Big School. But what I can assure them, that they won't be left behind.
We will compete for the future.
