How many people will choose a tour guide or business assistant who is a freelancer in China?

I'm a freelancer as a interpreter/translator/business assistant/tour guide in Xiamen, China, sometimes I'm wondering, how many people will choose someone like me to work for them and why? If you are going to xiamen for traveling or business, will you choose a freelancer?
