When are adults going to start acting like adults?

I live a subdivision with it's own elementary school so those who live here are pretty involved in ach others lives. Especially if they get involved in any school/community groups. I'm a PTA mom, scout mom and I volunteer where I can for school ad community events so I am exposed to a lot of my neighbors and their families. What I have found is a lot of them are very "7th gradeish". Gossiping often with straight up lies, back stabbing and clicks forming that even single out people who they feel "don't fit" to pick at to an extent that qualifies as bullying.
I am watching so called adults throw fits calling themselves "divas", and encouraging the same behavior out of their children. If my kids were to behave the way any of these people have I would have taken every toy and piece of tech they owned away. So why is it not on acceptable but also seemingly encouraged from adults these days with T.V. shows like Bridezillas, Bad Girls club, and Jersey shore make people famous for such behavior. I just want to know when we are going to say enough is enough and demand that as a society we all need to grow up.

to answer your "subject" sentence.......when they can understand what it means to be an adult. I feel SO much for you hun, dealing with "adults" and "parents" who can't seem to comprehend life and circumstances and responsibilities any more than the kids they are supposedly "raising" can..
