Hi! I am from China, and because I was born here and never been abroad, so i have to say now i am very used to the place i live. Now I live in Dalian, a city in the north of China, but not my hometown. Generally, because China has so big population, whenever you go you see big crowds.Once I talk to a friend from england online, he said he had been to China once and he thought China cities are very polluted especially some big cities like Shanghai and Beijing, lol.

@star40 well, yes China use one-child policy to control the blasting growth of population, but they Chinese governement decide to loose the policy and now in many places they can have two or more children. However, the interesting thing comes now, the more the government encourage to have more children, the less people want to do that. I think that is due to the economy and education level of people. In the past time China is very poor and people are little educated, they just need to work in the filds and breed children, living in a very original state. But now many people get high education and they think quite differently, they want to enjoy their life more, so they do not want mang children, just one will be enough. In the past time children were brought up in great numbers but low quality, and now it is quite the opposite.

@star40 well, i live in the state of maine in the united states. when it comes to food maine is known for it's lobster, blueberries and potatoes. Though there are many other delicacies as well. have you ever heard of fiddleheads? They are basically baby fern buds. In the first part of spring when the grass and plants are just starting to grow, people harvest these "fern buds" before the leaves fully unfurl and they are generally treated and eaten much like brussel sprouts. (steamed/sauteed then served in butter and vinegar)
as for activities.....the state of maine is nick-named "vacation land" for a reason.....no matter the season or time of year there is always something fun to do....in the summer there is fishing, camping and the like, the fall is great for hunting deer and looking at the beautiful foliage on the trees (known as leaf-peeping) , and also for hunting moose and bear, the winter brings skiing and ice fishing, and the spring is ...well...muddy, full of bugs, and unpredictable, but a good time to fish (again LOL) and "mudding" (basically like going off roading in vehicles through the mud and making a mess....but fun none the less!)
