I love roses. It has been said, "flowers are the luxury of the earth" and that is so true. They give much beauty and pleasure to people and ask for only a small amount of care.

My favourite flower is jasmine. I have a hasmine plant growing against my fence, and in late summer, it flowers. We usually have our windows open at that time of year, and you get a delicious scent wafting in during the evenings.

I love brightly coloured fire lillies ! They are so beautiful ... I also love lavander and the way the smell fills the entire garden in the evenings.
