Have you ever sat and listened to the rain as it pattered on a tin roof? There is no more relaxing sound in the world! I have written a poem titled "Soft, Gentle Rain". It discusses the rain pelting against another structure that many find relaxing as well: the window panes.. I hope you all enjoy it.
Softly it pelts the window pane
It makes a soft playing song
I could listen to it all day long
It's the sound of a soft, gentle rain
It's splashing over and over again
It gives one the feeling nothing is wrong
It makes one feel strong
It makes me forget my pain
It gives comfort to my soul
It makes my heart sing with joy
I feel completely whole
I'm dodging the world and being coy
The rain is pelting all around
Oh what a beautiful sound!

rhyme is ok........but reading/visual stand point, 11 lines that all start with "I" or "IT": seems too much and it messes with the flow....
