Apparently the meaning of being bored has changed from what it used to be. My daughter will tell me "I'm bored" even though she appears to be having all kinds of fun.

Try to find an interesting top or question to respond to. Can't find any? Start/ask your own. Some other things to do while you're bored

Hello, Kyli - - - Welcome! - - -
Idea 1 - Nothing lasts forever.
(including an idea, thought, or feeling about boredom.)
Was there not SOME time in your life when you did NOT
feel or think about being bored?
See! - That changed.
You did not feel bored (at sometime). - Now, you feel bored.
Simple.
Things change.
Another day, another circumstance, and you will not feel bored.
Idea 2 - It is entirely “natural” to want to “DO” SOMETHING!
We are “alive.” - And, to be “alive” IS to “ACT” (in some way).
If we aren’t acting to avoid lions and tigers, we are acting to find
food and water (for example). - Our actions are “value” oriented.
Those simple, basic, values and actions have already been “solved”
in our modern world. That is, we don’t even think about them.
Idea 3 - Do not drink or eat anything for three days and your body
will tell you what is of value and worthwhile taking action about.
Of course. After getting your drink and some food, you may be bored
again. Then, you have to think about what kind of “work” you are
going to do to get the income to pay for shelter and food.
Idea 4 - The basic “problem” (about boredom) is to find VALUES
that are strong and meaningful to you. - Of course, you have to explore
these things in your own world and experience. Just as a possible
example: if you want to be “healthy,” then exercise is an important
part of that (as is diet). - What activities can you do to get your “exercise?”
(I choose tennis.) - But the idea gets you thinking along different terms
regarding things you VALUE. - Then, taking action (or planning action)
in relation to those values gets you OUT of the boredom trap.
Idea 5 - These are just some ideas to play with.
Best to you (and a boredom free life.) -
