much of it depends on why you broke up....who was at fault (if there is one) and whether both parties feel the same way about wanting to get back together. Unfortunately (i have seen it many many times) even if you both decide to try and give it another shot, those old burnt bridges and blames and regrets from the past sneak back in. You cannot erase the past.....so those issues come back to bite you.....sorry....

If your Ex does not want to come back, let him go. You will find many in your life whom you could love snd with whom you could get along. All the best.
