But will enough outrage be generated for anything to change?

It's astounding. People who, 5 years ago, were screaming about how the Patriot act and FISA courts were trampling on our civil liberties, have gone completely silent and worse, are bending over back words to justify it., The difference? Nothing more than the letter next to the name of the guy in the oval office. Statists will be statists.

yes, it's amazing that the dems, now they are in power (except in the house and the supreme court) are hanging on to that power with both fists. But it was interesting, the vote in the house recently (Amash amendment, I believe) that got bi-partisan support, and might have passed if the White House hadn't gotten involved. Bi-partisan from the extreme right and the extreme left, interestingly, while the centrists voted it down.

I hope so. But to be honest when the spying program was outed I thought people would finally stand up. Nope. People will protest over Zimmer, being systematically spied on by our own government...nothing. I am still dumbfounded by that.

Maybe, now that people finally see that something really is corrupt with our government, they'll do something. In the past anyone who has tried to make similar warnings has been labeled "crazy conspiracy theorists". Not so crazy now huh? I really hope this has caused people to wake up.

He's not the only whistleblower either. There's Bradley Manning on trial, and several others in jail. The Obama administration has indicted more whistleblowers than all other administrations combined.
