They have been occupying seats!

Have you guys ever heard of the Chinese Style of occupying seats within library or dining room of university or college?! Well,actually,it's not a big deal now cause we've used to it now here to talk about some stuff on it,but just introduce it to you foreign friends! And therefore you're thinking its a little funny and a bit annoying,maybe! So,what's your attitude or perspective on this quite "special" phenomenon?

i admit that this is a really common phenomenon.i used to take seats for myself and my friends in the library by putting a book or something on the desk ,but i dont do this very often ,because i think other students my also want this seat ,i wonder if foreign students alse occupy seats in a college library as we do ?
