hello!
is it necessary to plant a rose in a garden and not in a pot? i wanted to plant a rose but instead of putting it in the ground i'm going to use a pot, since my place is not big.

You can plant a rose in a pot so long as you remember to put it in one which is big enough. Just how big depends on the type and the size of the rose. A miniature rose would be happy in a 9" or 10" pot, larger roses might need a 15" or 20" pot. You will also need to give it much more attention in terms of watering and feeding than you would if the rose were in the ground.
