We need a few tips on gardening. We consider ourselves sort of accomplished gardeners. We plant pretty much anything and everything that we have room for, but mostly for plants that we know we are going to eat. This year we selected to plant some grape tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes. We are getting black spots on the tomatoes. we don't know if it because of heat or some insect. They still taste good but are unsightly in appearance.

This is very likely tomato blight, which is encouraged by hot, humid conditions. It is difficult to control because it develops so quickly. This page gives more information:
