I continually have ants coming into the house. I spray, put taro out, and they still invade. I have put so much different stuff out, but they still keep coming. Does anyone have any ideas they would like to share? I would love to hear some of them.

Boric Acid is what i hear works the best. It comes as a powder and you can get it at most pharmacies. here is a "how to" on making your own ant traps using it.
This is a miracle recipe for getting rid of those pesty ants that come every spring and summer. Mix up the solution, pack cotton balls in a jar cover, and put the solution on and they will be gone.

Locate their entry way and attack there. Cover your bases too. Like if they come through a window frame, don't just spray there. Spray the entire frame of every window in that area. Also make sure that any food or drink spills are cleaned up immediately. You want to discourage them from coming in there. We get ants on rare occasions but I always spray one time and don't see them again in almost forever.

1 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon Borax, and 1/2 cup water. Bring it to a boil in a saucepan and boil for about three minutes or until the solids are dissolved. Then let it cool.
Before you put the bait down, you have to clean the area where the ants are active. They lay down scent trails and that tells them where the party is. Cleaning the areas where they're marching around will disrupt those trails.
Once their scent trails are screwed up, put the cool mixture into shallow containers. Lids like the ones on margarine tubs work pretty well. Put them near the ants' paths and they should dive right in. They'll eat it and carry it back to the queen. It won't work immediately, but in a few days the whole colony should be wiped out.
It's basically homemade Terro, but I've had much better success with it than the storebought crap. The only reason I have to keep retreating is because the idiot next door is a hoarder and doesn't bother treating her place for bugs or picking up garbage in the apartment. We'll be ant free for a month or two and then a new colony will find their way into our place from hers.
