Paid a debt

Well, it's not the whole debt.......... it's 100 dollars from it and it was paid this morning and the lady, a newspaper vendor, greeted me with a smile and a face of happiness and that is exceptional because I owe her over 3,000 dollars which I can't pay because I don't have the money. She is a cheerful person and used to hardship and goes about the day dealing with a volatile and often very trying public many of whom are thieves. Sometimes she blows her cool and sits enraged and shouts at everyone for a few hours till the temper goes away. I also had a bake and fish for breakfast which is about the best kind of breakfast available in Port of Spain, Trinidad these days. It's not like years ago when you could get the bacon and eggs type of thing for a reasonable price. That's only in hotels now and it costs an arm and two legs. Anyhow I left downtown Port of Spain with a full stomach and got to the office where the flow was the normal slow and pretty badly managed thing it always was. If you own a business don't hire lesser people to save money on salaries you will get a lesser company and the kind of business to match. I've known the owner here since 1969 and he's never changed. Well, it's his money, not mine, later folks, and....... have a great day all of you.......
