I have said for a long time now that I think Scotland should be free- but you know what I think now
Our nation of whingers do not deserve the chance of self determination
Too long relying on handou from Westminster
Not wanting to actually contribute to a brave new Scotland
The latest shame on us is that English politicians are telling Us our internet might cost a wee bit more if we are free
And the people who want to see us remain in the Union get a one percent swing in the polls
People fear change - and sadly that fear and apathy will hold us back
Scotland has given the world so much and produced so many innovative people yet we will be held back by people who have never contributed anything
I know of families were no wage cheque has been earned in 40 years
Kept in poverty by English Governments who quite frankly dont give a damn about the people of Scotland
Yet these people are too dumb to realise hope lies with frredom
Our destiny lies in the hands of the citizens of our great nation
Scots people who want to remain within the UK vote to do so for real reasons
Not because yer internet might cost a few bob more

Scotland was independent until about 100 years ago, then united with England and Wales quite voluntarily for eonomic and defense reasons, I think. There are issues with a return to Scottish independence. Oil alone won't give enough money who'll subsidise her? Will she be an independent member of the European Union? Who'll defend her? What about Scots who live and work in England? There are many questions to be considered and answered, but I tell you if Sottish people want a return to indpendence from my point of view, fine. I take issue with 'Scotland has given the world so much' etc. I don't deny Scotland has contributed much, but not alone.

Most of the people from outwith Scotland who live here are pro freedom!!
Most English people who work, who have raised kids here and who have invested in our small but proud nation see all to clearly the benefits of self determination
Shame about the apathy shown by so called real Scots!

my dad lives near glasgow with his scottish wife.
she supports scotland separating from england, don't know what my dad thinks.
I don't like the idea of scotland separating from england but i'm not scottish so it's nothing to do with me.
personally I think it'd be better if we stuck together but saying that, if I was scottish I'm pretty sure i'd want independence too.

I think scotland could manage on its own but you'll have to reduce your benefits bill, just as we need to down here.
You'll have the oil revenue and with the freedom to set all of your laws you could attract some big companies up there with some sort of tax breaks just like Ireland have done.
I'll be interested to see what happens with your currency, military and head of state.
Will sterling be kept (think alex salmond has said he wants to keep sterling which requires the queens permission) will you have a separate military (which would severely deplete our army and make your new army pretty worthless....also would you keep the nuclear option?, and would you want to keep the queen and just be like canada and australia.
Interesting times whatever happens.

Problem is many Scots seem to lack the faith that we can cope on our own
Many Scots are scared they might have to contribute a bit more to our brave new world than they do at present
But hey, the 16 and 17 year old kids who will vote might just be the trump card in the pack of Mr Salmond.
I envisage many English people heading for a better life in Scotland when freedom is won!!
