1.The hourse was painted throughout the green .The house was painted the green throughout. Q:which one is better or right and why ? 2.Hundreds of idears occur to us everyday but few are put into practice Lots of idears the few of them we dont use them which were occured by us . Q:which one is right and why. thx

The correct versions, with optional words in square brackets '[ ]', are: (1) 'The house was painted [in] green throughout' OR 'The house was painted throughout in green'. Green (in this case) is an adjective. You would only use an article before the word if you are using is as a noun (as in 'the village green', 'a bowling green'). 'Green' may also be a noun if it is describing a particular type of colour - 'The green of grass is different from the green of a parrot's feathers'. (2) The correct version is 'Hundreds of ideas occur to us every day but few [of them] are put into practice. The second option is incorrect. 'Lots of' is slang and bad English and the rest of the sentence has so many errors that it would be impossible to explain them all.

why would anyone except a selik fan paint a house green throughout ?? better blue methinks.
